Managing Director's Office

Overview

This Office is headed by the Managing Director who is also the
Chief Executive Officer and prime initiator of all activities of the Authority.
The ten Divisions which are directly under the Managing Director’s Office and report directly to him are:

  2. Public Private Partnership (PPP) Division
  3. Internal Audit Division
  4. Procurement Division
  5. Public Relations & Protocol Division
  6. Liaison/ Area Offices
  7. Gender and Human rights Division
  8. Projects and Area Offices Coordination
  9. Servicom Division
  10. ACTU Division

The Division oversees and handles all legal matters as they affect the operations of the Authority. The Division Head also serves as Secretary to the Board. The Division initiates, executes and advises on matters with references to their legal implications vis-a-vis actions to be taken on all issues affecting the Authority.

The Division initiates, coordinates, obtains approvals and oversees the execution of policies, programs and projects aimed at infrastructural development in line with the focus of the Federal Government to bridge infrastructural gaps. It also engages the Private Sector in the creation of new infrastructure, expansion and refurbishment of existing assets to ensure that all assets of the Federal Government are put to functional and profitable use. Some of the Public-Private Partnership Projects include construction, development, operation and maintenance of infrastructure or development of Federal Government Projects through concessionor other contractual arrangements.

The Internal Audit is established to provide a complete and continuous Audit assessment of the Accounts, records of revenues and expenditure as well as Management Audit of assets and other activities of the Authority

The Division carries out the preparation of the yearly procurements plan based on need assessment and budgetary provision, places advertisement for tenders, organizes bids evaluation. It also convenes the Procurement Planning Committees (PPC) and Parastatals Tenders Board (PTB) meetings to consider, recommend and approve projects and programmes that falls within the threshold for awards. Issuance of letters of awards and signing of contract agreements are also within the Division's purview.

The Public Relations & Protocol Division initiates, coordinates and executes policies and programmes aimed at promoting and protecting a good image for the Authority through news releases, features writing, publication of Magazine and Journals, event management, liaising with external bodies and use of other Public Relations efforts and activities. It Liaises with the Authority's stakeholders to ensure cordiality,
goodwill, understanding and cooperation between them and the Authority. The Division also ensures good working relations between the staff and the Authority's Management and also arrange for VIPs protocol hospitality and their passages during official visit.

The Authority has three Area Offices located in Ikeja, Ibadan and Osogbo, the capitals of Lagos, Oyo and Osun States, respectively. There is also a Liaison Office in Abuja. The Area. and Liaison Offices coordinate activities and oversees the interest of the Authority in their respective areas of coverage. Gender and Human Rights Division

The Division ensures that gender equality is the norm in the workplace and that gender does not determine any staff placement. opportunities, freedom or importance. The focus of the Division is to promote gender balance and equality in every given situation. In carrying out its functions, the Division engages in sensitizations and gender mainstreaming to ensure gender balance with focus on equal opportunity for all, especially women in the workplace.

The Division oversees the coordination of the Authority's projects and Area Offices in accordance with the establishment laws of the Authority. It monitors activities and the condition of facilities i
the projects and area offices, to ensure efficient and effective utilization of available assets and facilities. Its modus operandi, include regular visits to projects and area offices; writing of reports
emanating from visits and making recommendations to the Managing Director for necessary directives to fast track actions needed from appropriate directorates.

The Division is established to ensure quality service delivery to the Authority's stakeholders. The Division is expected to improve upon the organisation's structural and functional service delivery and
measure performance against this pact. It also liaises with the Authority's stakeholders and publies to get feedback on its service delivery efforts with the aim of making adjustments and general improvement in the Authority's service delivery standard.

The Anti-Corruption and Transparency Division operates as an autonomous outit with functional linkage with the office of the Chiet Executive Officer. The Independence and protection of the Division in effective discharge of its mandate, ensuring corruption free environment is guaranteed by the Authority. The Division monitors procurement activities, accounting processes, recruitment process and store matters to ensure
transparency and accountability.
