Engr. Dr. Adedeji Ashiru is currently serving as the Managing Director and CEO of Ogun-Oshun River Basin Development Authority, under the Federal Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation where he oversees the development and implementation of water resources management strategies, irrigation schemes, flood control measures, and land reclamation projects.

He is a success-driven professional with about thirty years of progressive and responsible engineering experience with proven records of delivering results-driven solutions fostering collaboration partnerships and promoting sustainable development in water resources and oil and gas sectors.  He combines strong brand of communication skills and uncommon success in project management, contract administration and business development to maximize productivity and profits.

Engr. Dr. Ashiru has led a consortium of companies with capital projects running into Millions of Dollars.  He was the principal consultant on gas delivery for the just completed Multi-Billion Dollar construction of the largest single refinery (Dangote Refinery) and Fertilizing plant (Dangote Fertilizing Plant) in the world.

Following his graduation from Obafemi Awolowo University, he worked for a multinational consulting engineering firm ABB LUMMUS GLOBAL on a variety of Oil and Gas subsea and pipeline projects.  In 2001, he was appointed as a Senior Pipeline Engineer and Project Manager owing to his contribution to the enormous growth of the firm and his outstanding performance.

From 2002 to 2003, he worked for OANDO Gas and Power, a large gas distribution company in Nigeria as a Senior Consultant where he was responsible for the development of top notch strategies to improve upon the efficiency and quality of work, co-ordination of the Engineering Design office, and Project Management.

In April 2003, Ashiru joined BOLIVIA Gas Energy Technology Limited as the Principal Consultant and he took over the Management of the company in 2008 as the MD/CEO.  As the Managing Director/CEO, he was instrumental to the growth of the firm reviving it from its previous level of bankruptcy to well above profitable margin, which she presently enjoys.

He graduated from the Prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in Nigeria, with a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, an MSc in Offshore and Ocean Technology (Pipeline and Subsea Engineering) from renowned Cranfield University, United Kingdom and Doctorate in Engineering from Common Wealth University, United Kingdom.  He has certification on leadership and Business Management from London Graduate School, United Kingdom and Sustainable Business Strategy from Harvard Business School, USA.

Engr. Dr. Adedeji Ashiru is a Fellow of Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE), Fellow, Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (FNIMeechE), Fellow Nigerian Institute of Water Engineers(FNIWE) a Member for Council for the Registration of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), a Member of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Institute of Marine Science and Technology (IMEST), Member of Engineering Council (Charted Engineer), United Kingdom, and Nigerian Gas Association (NGA).
